2015 KABA Diversity Scholarship Program
The Korean American Bar Association of Chicago (“KABA”) is pleased to announce its 2015 KABA Diversity Scholarship Program. Once again, KABA, with the generous support of Dykema Gossett PLLC, will award two scholarships, each in the amount of $1,000, to assist qualified law students with their academic expenses, and will present the scholarships at KABA’s 22nd Anniversary Banquet which will be held at The Union League Club on October 3, 2015.
(Attendance by scholarship winners is encouraged, and winners will receive a complimentary Banquet ticket.)
To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must (i) be a law student attending one of the law schools in Illinois, and (ii) be a person of color or a person whose background or experience would otherwise contribute to the diversity of the legal profession. In selecting each recipient of the scholarship, KABA will evaluate a number of factors including, but not limited to, the applicant’s (i) commitment to the Korean American community, (ii) demonstrated service to the Korean American community of Chicago, (iii) commitment to public interest legal work, (iv) academic excellence or growth, (v) financial need, and (vi) career aspirations. No one factor is required or dispositive.
If you meet the above criteria, we hope that you will complete an application available here: application.
